Biography
Pema Khandro is an authorized lama and lineage holder recognized as a tulku by Gyaldak Rinpoche. She ordained in the Nyingma ngakpa tradition and was authorized to transmit the non-monastic lineage of Buddhist yogis to her students.
She holds a PhD in Buddhist Studies from the University of Virginia, specializing in Dzogchen and women in Buddhism. She founded Ngakpa International, the Buddhist Studies Institute, Dakini Mountain Retreat Center, and the Yogic Medicine Institute.
