Lama Tony Duff is an Australian translator and teacher who founded the Padma Karpo Translation Committee, specializing in Mahamudra and Dzogchen texts including the Longchen Nyingthig.
Biography
Lama Tony Duff was ordained as the first Tibetan Buddhist monk in Australia and studied at Chenrezig Institute under Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa. He later became a senior student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and served as Tsoknyi Rinpoche's personal translator for nearly ten years.
He founded the Padma Karpo Translation Committee in 1993, producing major translations of Dzogchen and Mahamudra texts, Tibetan-English dictionaries, and language software. He teaches the Longchen Nyingthig and Dzogchen pith instructions internationally.
