Biography
Brad Warner was born in Ohio in 1964 and played bass in hardcore punk bands including Zero Defex before becoming a serious student of Zen under Tim McCarthy and Gyomay Kubose.
While working in Japan on tokusatsu television, he studied with Gudo Wafu Nishijima, who ordained him as a priest and named him dharma heir in 2000. His books include Hardcore Zen and Sit Down and Shut Up.
