Andrew Cohen was an American spiritual teacher and founder of Evolutionary Enlightenment, known for teaching an evolutionary approach to awakening and cultural transformation.

Biography
Raised in a secular Jewish family in New York City, Cohen had a spontaneous experience of cosmic consciousness at sixteen. After years of practice in the United States and India, he met H.W.L. Poonja in 1986 and soon began teaching.
He founded EnlightenNext magazine and developed Evolutionary Enlightenment—a path emphasizing not only personal awakening but conscious participation in the evolution of culture. He taught internationally for decades before his death in Tiruvannamalai, India in 2025.
